Chateau Porto Carras

The first Greek Bordeaux blend, vinified initially by the famous Consultant and Professor, Emile Peynaud. The international varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and the Greek variety Limnio gives a complex bouquet of flavors and fragrances, in a perfectly aged wine. Simply excellent.
Rich deep ruby color. Complex aromas dominated by black berried fruits and cedar. Delicate, smoky, with structure and balance. Excellent quality, rich and long velvety finish. This wine has the potential for long aging.

Mt. Meliton

The vineyards are found at an altitude of 550-700 m on the north-east Olympus slopes, in Prosilia and Tourtoura.
The soil consists mainly of iron-rich schist. The iron in the soil is an important quality factor, since it regulates the water capacity of the soil. The soil is poor in organic substances. Its structure enables the penetration of the roots into the sub-soil, so that the vine does not suffer from lack of moisture during the summer. The sub-soil is sandy-clayey.The cultivation is dry and organic which yields no more than 5-8 tn/ha.
