The 7-acre Mavrotragano vineyard is located in Kontariotissa of Pieria, under the monastery of Saint Ephraim, near Litochoro Pieria, at an altitude of 350 meters. The crop yields less than 2 tons of very good quality grapes, which have been kneaded in open tanks, also by post-fermentation extraction. Malolactic fermentation and maturation followed in new oak 225lt oak barrels.
